Dara Wiseman

Chief Operations Officer

Dara A. Wiseman serves as Legal Administrative Services Manager and as a member of the Executive Team. She heads the office's Operations Group and is responsible for the smooth, efficient and effective operation of the Office including but not limited to budget, accounting, information technology, contract management, human resources and support staff.

Ms. Wiseman has been an employee of the City of Oakland for 19 years and prior to her joining the Office of the City Attorney, she worked in the police and fire departments. During her tenure she was assigned to the personnel divisions of both City public safety departments along with served as performance auditor in the Office of Inspector General where she assessed department policies and procedures to determine compliance with the Negotiated Settlement Agreement.

Ms. Wiseman has a BA in Business Administration and an MPA from Cal State Hayward (now Cal State East Bay).
