Brian Mulry

Deputy City Attorney / Advisory Division

Brian Mulry is a Deputy City Attorney in the Land Use & Planning Unit of the Advisory Division.

lPrior to joining the City Attorney's Office, Mr. Mulry practiced land use law for a variety of public agency, private, and citizen group clients in a number of Bay Area cities and counties. 

From 2016 to the present, Mr. Mulry practiced law at the Buchalter law firm in San Francisco, where he represented public agencies, nonprofits and businesses on real estate, land use and employment matters. He also negotiated sale agreements and leases, litigated cases and served as outside general counsel for the Agricultural-Natural Resources Trust, a nonprofit land trust that works to preserve agricultural and conservation lands throughout the Bay Area.

Mr. Mulry worked at several other Bay Area law firms including Gordon Rees in San Francisco (2014-2016) and Gagen McCoy in Danville (2007-2014). In one of his major cases, he obtained a 7-figure settlement for the plaintiff in an employment discrimination case involving a major U.S. company.
