Kevin King

Neighborhood Law Corps

Kevin King is an attorney in the Neighborhood Law Corps, which is part of the Affirmative Litigation, Innovation & Enforcement Division of the City Attorney's Office. The Neighborhood Law Corps is an award-winning program that focuses on difficult issues facing neighborhoods including human trafficking, substandard housing and public safety.

Mr. King is assigned to OPD Command Area 5 (East Oakland).

Mr. King previously worked as a law fellow with the First District Appellate Project in downtown Oakland, where he represented indigent criminal defendants on appeal. He has had summer clerkships with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles Public Defender’s Office, and was an intern with the ACLU in San Francisco.

Mr. King holds a BA from UC Santa Barbara in history and graduated from UC Hastings College of Law, where he served as Staff Editor of the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal.
